Donor Database

(part of Community Empowerment Network)

Within the framework of Donors section on AzerWeb portal and release printed directories of donors in Azerbaijan, we plan the realization of interrogation of the local organizations, the companies, embassies, and so forth for reception of more detailed information both on them, and about spheres of financing.

The goal of this project is to collect information about existing donors in an easily accessible format that can be used by communities and local NGOs. The project would be handled by a local NGO who would be contracted to conduct a survey of all potential donors including the embassies, multilateral donors, government projects such as SFDI, international NGOs, private companies (oil companies), etc. The survey would collect information about the donor requirements, procedures for requesting funding, and past projects funded. This information will be collated and presented in databases and reports, which will be widely distributed and posted on-line. The information will also be made available through other channels such as local resource centers, the NGO training center, and others to be determined later.

This information could be given to the resource centers who could provide this information as a fee-service.

We hope that survey execution will allow to expand our Donors database and to present new sources of financing for humanitarian projects. It will also allow informing local organizations about the sizes of grants, procedures of their reception and spheres in which they are given.
