During the 2nd Forum of Azeri students
studying in Europe
The introduction of the Information technologies
in the education system of Azerbaijan will be duscussed during
the 2nd Forum of Azeri students, studying in Europe, to be
held on May 14-16, Brussels. During the forum, organized by
the assistance of the Minsitry of Youth and Sport of the Republic
of Azerbaijan and Azeri Embassy in Brussels, a session on
the "ICT Introduction in the Education System of Azerbaijan"
topic will be held. Hewlett Packard (HP) Country Office in
Azerbaijan provided kind assistance in the organization issue
of the mentioned session. Session will be held under the chairmanship
of Samed Abbasov and Emin Akhundov, AzNET Project representatives.
AzNET Project is jontly realized by the Ministry of Communications
and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan,
UNDP, AzRENA and Open Society Institute - Assistance Foundation.
According to Samed Abbasov, the mentioned session will be
held on May 15, during the second day of the forum. Forum
participants will be demonstrated a presentation about ICT
introduction in the education system of Azerbaijan, as well
as about this field's future perspectives. He has noted that
it's planned to held discussions, concerning the mentioned
topic during the session. It will create an opportunity for
attraction of Azeri students to existing problems, as well
as for joint development of initiatives for further realization
in our country.
S. Abbasov has outlined that AzNET project and HP Company
are the partners in the field of ICT introduction in education.
According to him, HP permanently shows its activity in the
different initiatives directed towards introduction of high
technologies in the educational sector of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that forum will be attended by Mr. Azad
Rahimov, Minister of Youth and Sport. Generally, about 100
students from 20 European countries will participate at the
forum. Sessions dedicated to economy, development strategy
and other topics will be also held during the forum. Forum
participants will hold meetings in European Commission, NATO
and European Parliament as well.
